Whilst Britain is my home, my journey started way back when my country of birth, Belize—formerly British Honduras, located on the western shores of the Caribbean in Central America, was still a British colony until 1981.
It was during my early years in Belize that I learned the values that have shaped my life as I travelled the world: self-reliance, civic pride, and the importance of giving back to the community.
As a boy, my mother taught me that 'manners maketh man,' 'the world is a book and those who do not travel read only one page,' and that serving our community is our duty. She also sparked my entrepreneurial spirit. My father, with his deep sense of structure, discipline, and order, taught me the difference between rights, duties, and privileges. Together, they instilled in me the fundamental beliefs of respect, dignity, and free thinking.
As a teenager, I ventured into the world—living and working across Latin America and Scandinavia—before making Britain my home and evolving into a business and civic leader.

From the vibrant streets of Bayswater in Central London, I moved to the green and pleasant English town of Chesham in Buckinghamshire, where I quickly became 'part of the furniture' in local life.
Remarkably, less than six years later, I had the honour of being elected Mayor. Whilst my election was historic, it was ultimately a testament to the inclusive and welcoming nature of the good people of Chesham. To them, I will always say: Thank you!

Commuting back into London over the years, I have seen this city losing its lustre particularly post-pandemic. There now seems to be a growing cultural divide between communities, an increase in crime and antisocial behaviour, and governance that is falling short when it comes to addressing critical issues.
As a former Bayswater Londoner, I experienced firsthand the resilience and strength of our communities, and I firmly believe that London has the potential to be even greater, brighter, and more prosperous for us all.
That is why I return to London—to dedicate myself again to public service, this time as your future Mayor of London in 2028, with your support.
